Patwa-ki-Haveli (or Patwon-Ki-Haveli) is considered the most important haveli in Jaisalmer, firstly because it was the city's first ever haveli and secondly because it is not a single haveli but a cluster of 5 small havelis. The first among these havelis was commissioned and constructed in the year 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa with the remainder built subsequently over a period spanning 50 years.
