Fishing in Ha Long Bay
Halong Bay in Vietnam is a home of the ancient Viet people and has been occupied by various cultures dating back some 18,000 years.
The fishing communities who live on the bay still retain their own special culture. With hundreds of species of fish, as well as crustaceans like shrimp and lobster, mollusks, and squid the fishermen have a lot to chose from. They fish using the same methods they have for centuries whether with a net or a pole. Often in very small boats.
