Foord Alms Houses, Rochester, England
Foord Alms Houses were built in Borstal (on the outskirts of Rochester) in accordance with the will of Thomas Hellyar Foord, a local businessman and benefactor to the City of Rochester. Construction of the Alms Houses was completed in 1927.
Flemish bond red brick, stone dressings, Kent tile roofs. 'U' plan court laid out as Cour d'honneur with forecourt gate and walls. Largely single storey with 2 storey pavilions.
